Meet and Greet at Universal Studios Hollywood

Do you want to feel like a part of a Hollywood movie? Who knows who you might run into?

For fans of Universal Studios, a crucial aspect of the trip to Universal Hollywood is meeting the characters.

You will be doing a lot of walking in the park because it is divided into Upper Lot and Lower Lot.

Visitors who don’t want to go through many thrills and attractions find fun in other ways — meet and greet at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Get ready to meet your favorite movie characters up close and personal with Universal Studios Hollywood tickets, offering exclusive meet and greet opportunities that bring the magic of the big screen to life.

Here are some ways to meet your favorite characters at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Upper Lot

Many characters from old films belong on the set because they mix in.

In the Upper Lot, you’ll run into figures like Marilyn Monroe, Beetlejuice, Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster, a Mummy, Doc Brown, Woody Woodpecker, Betty Boop, and more.

You can discover them wandering the streets from the entrance via the Streets of Paris.

Take a picture in front of the New York cityscape, of course!

The Hollywood sign backdrop as you leave the Studio Tour is another excellent photo opportunity that does not include a figure. It appears that you went to the sign!

Patrick Star and SpongeBob SquarePants have been spotted close to storefronts while traveling to the park’s entrance and by the fountains on occasion.

The trio of Scooby Doo, Shaggy, and their team have been observed in the Upper Lot, close to the fountains, and in front of Mel’s Diner.

If you are with a child, watch for Curious George. In the Upper Lot, Hello Kitty has a store of her own. She is standing in front of it.

Outside of Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, everyone is eager to encounter a Minion (both a mutant purple and yellow color).

Margo, Edith, Agnes, Gru, and Dru have all been spotted greeting fans in front of Miss Hattie’s Home for Girls.

In Springfield, USA, characters like Sideshow Bob, Krusty the Clown, and the Simpson family frequently make cameos.

Watch for them, particularly as you move closer to the Studio Tour.

There are amusing stationary statues of Springfield, USA characters, which are also great photo opportunities.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Character encounters at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter are the most “magical.”

Get your picture taken with the Hogwarts Express conductor at your first stop!

And remember to attend a performance at the Hogsmeade Stage.

You can participate in a photo opportunity with Hogwarts, Durmstrang, or Beauxbatons students following each performance of the Hogwarts Frog Choir and the Triwizard Tournament Spirit Rally.

You can also communicate with wizards by calling them with your wand!

All of the interactive points have helpful wizards if you have an interactive wand, of course.

In Hogsmeade, there are many other magicians at work. They’ll be delighted to pose for a photo when they see your muggle-made phone or camera.

Lower Lot

Outside of TRANSFORMERS: The Ride 3-D on the Lower Lot, you can encounter Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron.

These enormous talking robots are the ultimate meet and greet at Universal Hollywood.

Be on the lookout for a Raptor Encounter before the new Jurassic World — The Ride. Beware—Blue the Velociraptor has broken out of her pen.

Although she is threatening, you can take selfies with her. But keep your distance!

Juliet, the enormous triceratops, and Tango, the young raptor, are much gentler.

Some other characters at Universal Studios

Meeting your favorite DreamWorks characters at the Universal Plaza region is a dream come true, remarkably close to Kung Fu Panda and the Animal Actors Show.

You’ll never believe who you see! Show them your martial arts moves.

  • Branch, Poppy, and Guy Diamond from “Trolls” Po
  • Tigress from Kung Fu Panda
  • Penguins, Alex, and King Julian from “Madagascar,”
  • Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey from “Shrek,”

While some characters are active all year long, you’ll see more of them during the summer, particularly the Trolls.

Grinch Meet and Greet

The Grinch is by far the most well-known character at Universal Studios Hollywood.

During Grinchmas, celebrated on specific days in December, the nasty Grinch shows up. You can meet and greet Grinch during this celebration.

Last season, there was a lengthy line to meet him, and for a good cause.

He spends much time with each visitor and is lively and amusing.

Throughout Grichmas, you can also run into a variety of Whos, including Cindy Lou-Who and other residents of Who-ville.

At Grinchmas, enjoy seeing all of my Who buddies. They are hilarious!
