Do you have to be vaccinated to go to Universal Studios Hollywood?

The Universal Studios Hollywood vaccine requirements state that carrying proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results is no longer necessary.

However, wearing face coverings at all indoor times is strongly recommended regardless of vaccination status, especially during indoor queues.

According to Universal’s policy, the following are considered appropriate face covering:
Must be fastened under your chin and cover your mouth and nose.
Must have ear loops or be fastened around your head and fit comfortably against your cheeks.
Must be of at least two layers.
You can purchase the face coverings at select retail locations around the park or on request from Guest Relations.

Hand Sanitizers are available at various locations, and contactless payment is possible.

Is it possible to skip the regular attraction lines?

Yes! A Universal Express ticket gives you 1-Day General Admission to the Park and One-Time Express Access to all rides, attractions, and shows.

We advise you to purchase your Universal Express tickets online way beforehand. Only a limited number of tickets are available each day, and trying to get one at the last minute will be difficult.

Are backpacks allowed in Universal Studios Hollywood, California?

Certain rides and attractions allow for the storage of personal things. 

However, to speed up your time at the Front Gate security screening and each draw, we strongly suggest carrying minimal luggage.

Can I meet my favorite characters and get pictures with them?

During their stay, visitors will still have the chance to encounter some of their favorite characters. 

Occasionally, characters will be six feet away from visitors seated in a designated area.

Who is eligible to buy a ticket? Where do I go to buy a ticket?

Tickets are available for purchase by all visitors. To avoid paying the Front Gate price, purchase tickets in advance.

Adults aged ten and more can purchase a ticket for $134. Children aged three to nine years get a ticket priced at $128. Infants up to two years old get a free ticket.

Can you bring food to Universal Studios Hollywood?

Universal Studios Hollywood has restaurants and concession stalls spread across its property where you can enjoy a selection of fresh and delicious cuisines

Still, people can bring certain food items and beverages from outside into the parks.

Accepted items:
Bottled water (maximum 2 liters) 
Small snacks 
Any food required for special dietary needs 
Any food required for medical purposes and medically-indicated nutritional supplements 
Baby food/baby formula 
Soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5” wide x 6” high x 6” deep.

Prohibited items:
Glass containers 
Open containers 
Large coolers of food 
Hard-sided coolers

How much is parking at Universal Studios Hollywood?

Before 5 pm, regular parking is $30 per vehicle; after 5 pm, it is $10 per vehicle.

Priority parking is available for $45 per vehicle before 5 pm and $20 after 5 pm.
The front gate parking fee is $60 per vehicle.
